Hi, I'm Anna.
I’m an ordinary person who realised that unless I took care of my health and wellness, I would develop a chronic illness, never heal from my depression, and would not overcome burnout and grief.
I took care of building my health and wellness because I was tired
of living in the state of stress, overwhelm, and burnout.
I’m a health builder, wellness activist, I stress less, and I have more time for things that really matter in life now.
I’m a book junkie, always curious about how we, humans, work and what drives our behaviours.
I’m a vegan.
I quit sugar.
I don't drink coffee to wake me up in the morning anymore.
I love bushwalking (or any form of walking), warm climate, nature, yoga, and meditation and I have this habit of saying what I really, really think.
But, here’s how it all started….
A few years ago, I was like you: juggling several balls in the air: working a corporate job which wasn’t my passion but feeling the society pressure that if I was to be a success I had to progress in my career. I was managing a side hustle trying to find my true purpose, I was trying to balance work and family, my social life and find happiness in all of this.
But to tell the truth, I was under a lot of stress, always tired, frustrated, it felt like I never had time for anything, and everything was overwhelming.
And then things got even worse. I experienced burnout, went through challenging and heartbreaking times with my family, got into depression, developed PTSD and struggled to hold it all together. I felt like I wasn’t showing up either at work, my side hustle, or my relationships.
But I had that thought at the back of my mind that somehow there must be another way. There has to be a way to turn my life around.
I strongly believe knowledge is power, so I went on a self-discovery journey. I wanted to get to the core of why my life turned out like that. I researched the formation of habits, our behavioural patterns, why we act the way we act, why we go into the dark side so easily, what motivates us, how to stop the negative patterns, why we procrastinate, and how to take control of stress which is a permanent part of our lives now.
And slowly, step by step, I started implementing what I learnt in my own life.
I changed my sleeping patterns, took back my mornings because that is the time when our brains are the most productive, start paying attention to the food I was eating and what my body needed so I started eating better, got alcohol consumption under control, stopped the negative self-talk, created boundaries so I got time to pursue my interests, I tapped to my strengths, prioritized my values.
But most importantly I gained clarity about the mind and body connection, the power of food medicine, and how our mindset works. I started taking control of my health and wellbeing which gave me the strength to build my life again.
I realised that there are so many people like me, with compromised foundations of health and wellness and who struggle to hold it all together due to the demands of today’s life.
I strongly believed that if I could build my health and wellness, so could others. My research led to a career change, I retrained and became a certified Health and Wellness Coach.
Now, I get to share what I’ve learnt to help you to take control of your health and build long-lasting wellness so you can live a full, authentic, and happy life.
